The SINTEF Group is the largest independent research organisation in Scandinavia. Every year, SINTEF supports the development of 2000 or so Norwegian and overseas companies via our research and development activity.
The abbreviation SINTEF means The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH).

Foundation for Management and Industrial Research - M.I.R, founded by SINTEF, is a part of a consortium which have been awarded the first project in Macedonia from the European Commission’s programme - CIP (Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme) for establishing the European Information and Innovation Centre in Macedonia – EIICM (http://www.eiicm.com.mk). “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University - Skopje acts a as a Co-ordinator of the project’s consortium, while the other consortium members and project partners are the Agency for Promotion of Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Macedonia (APERM) and the Economic Chamber of Macedonia (ECM).
