Prof. Radmil Polenakovic has presented the theoretical background of the Supply Chain Management (SCM), possible SCM organisational concepts, as well as his experiences from SCM concepts implementation in Macedonia. Mr. Geir Lundgard – Soug has presented the benefits from improving the supply chain of the renowned Norwegian chair producer – HÅG. Special emphasis has been placed on the methods and techniques used in HÅG for improvement of the SCM performance, on the production philosophy as well as on the strategy for increasing the competitiveness of the company. Mr. Nimish Jhaveri has presented his experiences related to the current logistics conditions in Balkan countries, stressing out the main disadvantages and possible ways to overcome them.
