In April 2005 surface treatment seminar was held. It was organized in two parts.
The theoretical part included presentation of most common paint failures, pre-blasting preparation of the steel, blast cleaning (recommended equipment and procedures for different abrasives and working condition), Ultra High Pressure Water Jetting (UHPWJ), pre-treatment of Stainless steel, Aluminium and galvanized steel as well as the requirements for surface treatment according to ISO 8501 standard.
In the practical part:- demonstration of electro-static powder painting of steel.
Location: MZT HEPOS - Skopje and METALEC - Prilep
Demonstrators: Representatives from the large paint producer JOTUN - Norway.
